David's Birthday Gift
My brother David received this adorable little puppy as a birthday gift on the 21st. We were surprise to see this little one in the big blue box. My niece Eboni took an instant liking to her who's name was also Ebony. She was very tiny. We believe she was probably taken too soon from her mother. B.J. wasn't too fond of the little pup. He stayed his distance.
Unfortunately the little Ebony died Christmas Day. I think my brother was very sad over the loss of his little pet.
Christmas Day Pt. 2
Harrington and Eboni were as equally excited as the little ones to open gifts. Now that they're older their gifts cost more therefore there's fewer gifts to open. This year Eboni got a camera and my sister wrapped it and all the accessories separtely. I didn't think she would ever get to the gift that contained the camera :)

Christmas Day
Our Christmas celebration began attending worship service at my home church New Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. It was great to worship with my former church family and hear an awesome word from our beloved Pastor Banks. Although we have been away from Pilgrim Rest over 25 years Rev. Banks still beams with joy and excitement when looks out into the congregation and sees the Harris and Pearson families. I must brag, not only is Pastor Banks an awesome preacher, he sho nuf can sang.
Christmas Road Trip
We took a road trip home to Louisiana to be with the family for Christmas. It has been some time since Henry had two weeks off during the Christmas holidays, so since we all had time off, down the highway we went including B.J. The drive wasn't bad,but I have to say the scenery is much better in the summer. Henry did all the driving going while Harrington and I assumed our normal roles of navigators for gas stations, resturants, and rest stops, all while sleeping between our duties. Modern technology has made it so easy to travel across the country. I reserved hotel rooms, located the nearest gas station, Chickfila and Walmart all on one device. :)
The Friday before Christmas was the Annual Basketball Rivalry Game between our hometowns, Gibsland and Arcadia. This is the game the entire parish looks forward to during Christmas. It has been a sell-out for years now, mainly due to the fact that a lot of out-of-towners are home for the holidays. It's the ideal place to see former classmates, friends, and old acquaintances. My hometown team, Arcadia, was the winner of both the girls and boys game.

50th Wedding Anniversary
I lifted these photos from my niece's Face Book page of her parents to create these digital scrapbook pages. Henry's sister Louise and her husband Paul recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. What a blessing! They are a very sweet couple. always full of joy.
One by one each year flew by,
Since you both said "I do"...
Fifty years of memories,
Shared by the two of you.
From big events and holidays
To simple daily pleasures,
Some tearful times along life's way,
Some joys that can't be measured...
One by one each year now gone,
But still they're yours forever...
Each and every memory,
Of Fify years together!
Happy Golden Anniversary

Family Memories
Top photo:(left to right) Me, David, Amelia, Anthony, Mom, & Dad
Bottom photo: My oldest brother Anthony is to the far left and my youngest brother David is standing between Daddy's legs.
Don't ask me which one is me because I honestly don't know and my parents probably don't know either. Notice one of us has our jacket unbutton so maybe Mom did that to know "who was who" :)
Thanksgiving 2011
We had a quite blessed Thanksgiving Day. Once again we were blessed to be here to celebrate another Thanksgiving holiday together and feast on our favorite Thanksgiving Dinner dishes. We are thankful for each other, family, friends, a home, financial stabilty, freedom, peace, and laughter.
Henry and Harrington were most helpful this holiday. Henry cooked breakfast and Harrington washed dishes without being told, of course Henry helped him. :)
After dinner we enjoyed the American pass time of watching football and napping.

Sunday School Birthday Celebration
Halloween Treats
Cake Pops |
I made Cake Pops for my Sunday School Students and Children Church. The kids loved them. Its a grat feeling to see someone truly appreicate and enoy something you made special for them. Henry packaged the pops. Harrington only job was to carry the treats and not hand out to how buddies not matter how they begged ;(.. I tell you it was a tough job getting thoseops delivered without hearing, "Ooo I want one". I made the boxes for my staff and our neighbors. We bought lots of candy anticipating we would have just as many of not more treaters than last. We wanted probably had 10 little treaters. Henry gave them handsful of candy and we still had a lot left at the end of evening. My Sunday School class was happy to get the remaining candies.

#25 Harrington
This season was Harrington's second year playing high school football. It was a season which he displayed a tremendous improvement in his football skills. The season is over now and he and Henry are having a hard time adjusting to no football practice and games to attend. Love the "Pink" gloves
