We took a road trip home to Louisiana to be with the family for Christmas. It has been some time since Henry had two weeks off during the Christmas holidays, so since we all had time off, down the highway we went including B.J. The drive wasn't bad,but I have to say the scenery is much better in the summer. Henry did all the driving going while Harrington and I assumed our normal roles of navigators for gas stations, resturants, and rest stops, all while sleeping between our duties. Modern technology has made it so easy to travel across the country. I reserved hotel rooms, located the nearest gas station, Chickfila and Walmart all on one device. :)
The Friday before Christmas was the Annual Basketball Rivalry
Game between our hometowns, Gibsland and Arcadia. This is the game the entire parish looks forward to during Christmas. It has been a sell-out for years now, mainly due to the fact that a lot of out-of-towners are home for the holidays. It's the ideal place to see former classmates, friends, and old acquaintances. My hometown team, Arcadia, was the winner of both the girls and boys game.
