R U Ready 4 Some Football???

Football season has offically begun. Harrington is beginning his third year of high school football.  He' s getting bigger, faster, stronger, and skilled. The season opened Friday night at home against Goldwater High School.  Sadly Shadow Mountain lost by three points, but it was a good game. They tried with much effort to score the last three minutes of the game, but no victory.

Temperature in the stadium had to be over 100 degrees, if I was uncomfortable I can image how the players felt with all that football gear on. I  just hope it cools off soon so we can enjoy some real football w/o heat interrupts. :)

1st Day of School-August 8,2012

Harrington was up bright and early this morning. I was surprise to see him up and about at 6:00 without a Mommy wake-up call. One would think he was pretty anxious to begin his junior year at Shadow Mountain High School.

There's something magical about the first day of school. Could it be the new outfit, school supplies, seeing  your friends again, or meeting your new teacher.  Whatever the case with Harrington I just pray this isn't another year of "chasing the bus". LOL

Harrington didn't want me to take pictures, but now as a Mom I understand why Momma always took our picture the first day of school whether it was before or after school she got that annual photo shot :)  It's amazing to see how much he has grown on the last year.

Selinah's Gift

Pages from a digital scrapbook that I completed today for a dear friend.   The letters from her parents were very heartfelt and moving. They were the special touch this memory book needed.  I hope she  loves it as much as I enjoyed creating it and reflecting on how she has  grown into a very beautiful young lady with  a loving spirit and a beautiful smile.

Back cover message:
Created  for a very special young lady. I pray God will continue to guide and direct your path. I hope you know how thankful I am to have had the opportunity  to see you grow and mature.
I  hope you know how special you make me feel when you take time to come downstairs on Sunday mornings to say hello and hug your former Sunday School teacher.   I hope you never stop dreaming.
Love,
Ms. Pam

Goree Family Reunion 2012

We had a blast with our family last weekend in Northern California. Our family reunion was held in the Fairfield/Vacaville area. It was great to see familiar faces and to meet new  family members. The  picnic on Saturday was the BOMB! We all had a great time laughing and playing together.  It was great to see everyone enjoying and  participating in events other than eating (LOL!)  There was fun to be had for all whether it was talking trash at the domino table to getting knocked out of a chair in musical chairs.
The highlight for me was meeting my grandfather's 98 year old sister.

Mr. Revily Smith Legacy

What a beautiful tribute to our beloved  brother in-law. I am always in awe of the Power of Photography, it captures memories and gives us a visual reminder of how truly blessed we are. It also reminds us to Love and Cherish our love ones God has given us,  for one day he'll want them back.
