Somethings have changed while others remained the same this past year. Funding for Education continues to be low, but passionate teachers keeping teaching. Gas prices continue to yo-yo. Retirement age continues to increase. Homeless faces are no longer middle-age men, but families. The soaring cost of higher education has shattered or haltered many dreams. Political parties spend more time finding fought and indifferences amongest each other, instead of fighting and standing for the common good of all.
Our FAITH remains the same, the one thing that allows us to keep Dreaming. As I look around the city and see so many foreclosure signs and abandon buildings I believe soon and very soon this economy will get better. When all isn't well in our country, our communities, and our homes, we have faith to believe in brighter days and that change will come. I will continue to dream for Change, a change for all that is right in the sight of God. One that will allow his perfect will to be done in the lives of his people. So as we journey through another year I will continue to Dream of a better day for my family, yours, our children, and our children's children. Why? Because God said it, and I BELIEVE IT!
"Like anybody, I would like to live a long life. Longevity has its place. But I'm not concerned about that now. I just want to do God's will. And He's allowed me to go up to the mountain. And I've looked over. And I've seen the promised land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people will get to the promised land." I've Been To The Mountaintop, April 3, 1968
