Coming of Age
My mother is trying her best to break into this fast paced and ever changing technology age. She recently set up a FaceBook page and posted this profile picture all by herself. This is interesting because recently she couldn't recall how to move photos from her camera to computer without the assistance of not one but two long distance daughters :) I always knew that one day working with children and some adult children would have it benefits now I know... Patience and lots of Wait Time.
Harrington said, "Mom something is wrong with this picture if my non-techno grandma has a FaceBook account and I don't" Harrington has jokes too :) Now if we can only get her to "TEXT"
I used mom's beautiful profile picture to create this digital scrapbook page.
She looks a little like me :) Hmm!

Father's Day
It takes a special man to be a Dad, he sets an example for his children; He's their hero in the flesh. He's the one they run to when things go wrong, He's their shelter in the midst of the storms, but most of all he loves them even when they stumble, And he's right there to pick them up when they fall. It takes a special man to be a dad and that special man is you.
Henry had to work today and was scheduled to work a late special detail at the state capitol, but it was cancelled. Yeah!
We cooked dinner and spent the evening relaxing and watching movies.
Father's Day cards from Harrington and me and gift(one of his favorite candies, and mine too :)
Happy Father's Day Daddy-Earl L. Rochelle
One day I’ll write a story to tell the world about you. I’ll tell of the joys and sorrows, the sacrifices and hard work. I’ll tell of my many fond childhood memories and how as a child I thought there was nothing my daddy couldn’t fix or didn’t attempt to repair. I’ll tell of how my mother reminded us in even in the bad times, “you were still our daddy”. I’ll tell of how now in this season of my life I not only have a daddy, but I’ve got a best friend. One who takes times to hear my cries, encourages, and shares a laugh. I’ll share that I’m who I am, because you are my daddy. My daddy is not a perfect dad, but he’s My Daddy and I Love Him, Oh, Yes I Do!

A Bad Case of "Puppy Pox"
Just had to post pictures of this mischievous dog of ours. BJ waddles and backstrokes in the grass and gets these stickers all over himself. As soon as we clean them off, he's back at it. BJ looks like he has a bad case of "puppy pox". Hopefully the Monsoons will come early, so we can finally get some moisture in the ground and turn those ugly brown patches green in our back lawn.
Our Weekend
Harrington finished 8th grade very strong. He earned 6 A's and 1-B, I was in total awe. He told me he could do it, "Mom just let me do it on my own." It was so hard to let him fly solo. I was constantly asking if he had any homework, test to study for, or projects to complete. He would always respond confidently , "Mom I got this!" I just pray he continues to have self-confidence and shoots for the stars. Now, if I can only get him to clean his room and bathroom. :)
We went to Pappadeaux last Friday to celebrate. Harrington chose Pappadeaux because he loves himself some catfish.

Football Training Camp
“Football is an honest game. It's true to life. It's a about sharing. Football is a team game. So is life.”
Harrington is playing tight-end and middle linebacker on Shadow Mountain High School's Freshman Football Team.
He's having a ball :) This week he has weight training in the A.M. along with practice in the evening.

Promotion and Graduation
“I hope your dreams take you... to the corners of your smiles, to the highest of your hopes, to the windows of your opportunities, and to the most special places your heart has ever known.”
I'm a little late in posting photos of Harrington's 8th grade promotion and niece's high school graduation.
Harrigton will be attending Shadow Mountain High School in August. He's excited to be in Honors Language Arts class. He has two novels to read and journal before school starts. Freshman football practice and training has him pretty busy, if he doesn't organize his time, he'll be trying to complete assigned task a week before school starts. :)
Our niece Dee graduated from Flagstaff High School, May 28. It was great to celebrate with the family and enjoy the cooler temperatures on the mountain.
